Fucidin cream contains an antibiotic Fusidic acid 2%, which belongs to a group of antibiotics called fusidanes. Fusidic acid is very useful in treating Staphylococcal skin infections. It is indicated for use in non-bullous impetigo, staphylococcal eye infections, and skin infections. It is usually applied 3 to 4 times a day on the infected area.
